A rare screening of a film directed by Edinburgh-based May Miles Thomas is
taking place on Wednesday, with the organisers offering free tickets to
the first thirty people who apply.
Solid Air is part of a festival of Scottish and Irish filmmaking talent,
REEL 2006, being hosted by the Filmhouse in Edinburgh.
Solid Aid is described as a “dark, noirish Scottish tale set in the worlds
of high stake gambling and Corporate law, switching between Robert Houston
Junior’s fight for justice for his father, who has contracted asbestosis,
and his gambling addiction.”
And to accompany the screening, the director, Miles Thomas, plus producer,
Owen Thomas, and actors Brian McCardle and Gary Lewis, will be taking part
in a Q & A session after the event.
May Miles Thomas is the author of various provocative opinion pieces on
the Scottish filmmaking scene published on allmediascotland.com.
It’s one ticket per application, which requires to be emailed to
firstname.lastname@example.org, without delay.
