A-Listers Lining up for Film Fest

Roll out the red carpet and dust off your autograph books – Spike knows the names of the A-listers turning out for this month’s Edinburgh International Film Festival.
A host of world famous filmmakers and actors will be in attendance to help the festival celebrate its 60th edition.
Acting legend and comedienne, Julie Walters, will make an appearance alongside Rupert Grint, better known as Ron from the Harry Potter series, as the pair co-star in the film, Driving Lessons, to be shown at the festival.
Scottish actors, Billy Boyd, Brian Cox and Laura Fraser, will keep ‘the home fires burning’, as the trio will be watching their performances in opening night film, The Flying Scotsman.
The Usual Suspects’ Gabriel Byrne will be promoting Australian film, Jindabyne, with an appearance; whilst Steve Coogan, creator of TV chat show host, Alan Partridge, will be watching Snow Cake starring Sigourney Weaver, who takes part in one of the ‘Reel Life’ series of practitioner interviews that are an established feature of the festival.
In a late addition to the programme, the acclaimed director of gangster flicks, Scarface and The Untouchables, Brian De Palma, will be also fielding questions as part of the Reel Life series.
The festival starts on Monday and ends on the 27th.
Spike will be providing comprehensive coverage.
