The Scheme Hit by Another Postponement

The transmission of a fly-on-the-wall documentary about a housing scheme in Kilmarnock has had to be postponed for a second time.

Barely days after it was announced the transmission of episodes three and four of the four-part BBC Scotland programme was going ahead following the conclusion of a legal case involving one of the scheme's residents who had yet to appear on screen, another legal case has arisen, meaning yet another hold-up.

It had been hoped episodes three and four would be transmitted this coming Tuesday and the following week. Episodes one and two were going to be repeated this weekend.

The first postponement of episodes three and four had been announced in May.

Says Ewan Angus, BBC Scotland Commissioner for TV: “This is a fresh legal action related to someone in the last two episodes but it makes sense to take all four out of the schedules at this point.

“This is frustrating, especially a second time, and we also appreciate that is frustrating for the audience many of whom have already expressed their anticipation of its return, but it is due to circumstances outwith our control. Again, it is our intention to show the series as soon as we can.”
