One of the fastest-growing newspaper publishers in the country has added yet another title to its portfolio.
Glasgow-based Premier Publishing – which has launched half a dozen free, local newspapers in the west of Scotland in less than a year – has just launched a wedding magazine.
It is a sign of company plans to build a magazine division alongside its burgeoning newspaper one, which comprises Glasgow titles – the Southside News, the West End News, the East End News, the Northside News, and the City Centre News – plus the Inverclyde News.
Commenting of the launch of Premier Weddings Magazine, managing director, Campbell Murdoch said: “We are keen to keep growing and magazines are a nice complement to our newspaper business. The wedding market is one that we know well, so it was an obvious place to start.”
Premier have also made two directorial appointments: Kerry Napuk and Stephen Paterson, who – among other things – have had publishing experience with Insider business magazine, where Kerry was a non-executive director and Stephen was finance director.
