Calder named Caledonian Mercury editor

WELL-known Scots broadcaster, David Calder, has been named the new editor of the Scots news website, caledonianmercury.com.

Calder – perhaps best known for his work at BBC Radio Scotland – succeeds Stewart Kirkpatrick, who is now digital head of the Yes campaign, urging Scots to vote for independence during the upcoming referendum, in 2014, on Scotland’s constitutional future.
