My names is Jim Galbreath and I have worked as a lighting cameraman for over 25 years on a whole range of assignments, including several award-winning documentaries and other UK factual programmes. I have spent several years working in studios and on outside broadcasts, on every kind of programme and genre, including studio drama and major events.
Most of my career has been with BBC Scotland.
I have filmed extensively around the world, on both news and documentaries.
I have been also involved in communication and performance training for at least 15 years, providing equipment and practical advice to a wide range of organisations.
Clients include several of the UK’s major financial institutions, various local government organisation, many sporting, health and eduction bodies, plus numerous large companies, both within the UK and abroad.
In 2009, I took the opportunity to leave the BBC and, in collaboration with other craft and production colleagues, continue to make high-quality programmes for the broadcast, corporate and web markets.
I remain a committed and enthusiastc member of the broadcast community in Scotland.
