Part 2 of the ‘Wear the Fox Hat’, Auchtermuchty Comedy Festival will take place in the Victoria Village Hall on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November.
Surreal comic Phil Kay who has been described as “One of the greatest comedic odysseys ever witnessed” will headline the show fresh from his run at the Soho Theatre in London and is supported by broadcaster and stand-up queen Susan Morrison. Generating even more laughter will be rising star Billy Kirkwood and brilliant musical comedy duo Lazyhand who complete a line up, which the organisers contest, is the equal of the very best comedy clubs in the country.
There has been much praise from within the comic community for organisers Jim Russell and Ian Harrower and their dream inspired by a famous beer advert to bring comedy to rural communities. The promoters have also been contacted by a New York actor called Robb Pruitt who it turns out was the actual front man who appeared as aka Johnny Miller in the celebrated beer advert and not Rich Hall as had been reported. “It's an understandable mistake and one I've dealt with my whole career,” said Robb.
