HILLSIDE AGENCY SCALE NEW HEIGHTS BY SECURING HOGAMNAY 2010 CONTRACT
Event design experts give the world's biggest New Year's Celebrations the edge
Tomorrow (Tuesday 17 November 2010) will see the launch of this year's Edinburgh's Hogmanay festival at Edinburgh Castle and the team at Hillside Agency will be raising their glasses to another successful design campaign as the full event programme is unveiled.
Hillside has cemented its position as Scotland's premiere design agency for the events industry by again winning the contracts for Edinburgh's world-renowned Hogmanay and Christmas festival programmes 2009 / 2010.
Neil Dalgleish from Hillside Agency said: 'With EventScotland's vision to make Scotland one of the foremost events destinations in the world by 2015 the design and creative brand building elements of international events are becoming even more critical to their financial success. Our expertise in the branding and positioning of events allows us to deliver impactful work of the highest quality that makes a real difference to the success of every project and how the public respond to them.'
With a proven track record of providing design, marketing and brand building for some of Britain's most well known events; Hillside won the latest Hogmanay commission following a competitive national multi-agency tender process. The contract includes the creation of a new brand identity for Edinburgh's Hogmanay 2009 / 2010, the design of the event website and the design and management of all print-based marketing communications materials including the event brochure, tickets, posters, fliers and advertising. This will be the sixteenth year that Neil Dalgleish and Hillside have worked on Edinburgh's Hogmanay, having been involved since the first event in 1993.
Edinburgh's Hogmanay is just one of a number of clients that return to Hillside year after year. Between 2002 and 2009 the agency has been responsible for creating the identity and building the hugely successful brand for the multi-award winning mountain bike events at Fort William – The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and World Championships (2007). Hillside Agency have also been the official design and print agency for EventScotland, the national organisation for sports and cultural events, since shortly after it was created in 2004.
Hillside's enviable reputation for transforming the energy and excitement of events into eye catching design, branding and web presence have made it the agency of choice for an impressive stable of UK and international festivals and events, past and present. These include the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, the World Youth Climbing Championships, CowParade Edinburgh, SLIDE, The Fort William Mountain Festival, Burns an a' that, the Original Bicycle Festival, The Celtic Cup, and The Outsider Festival.
Despite such an impressive roster, Hillside Agency's client list extends beyond a who's who of events. The company has also built up strong ties with the music industry in Scotland over many years. Fopp, the UK music retailer, is continuing its eight-year relationship with Hillside awarding the agency an extended design contract.
Neil Dalgleish, of Hillside Agency, added; 'We're delighted to be working on such exciting and prestigious accounts. We're extremely proud of the work and results we've been producing over the years. I'm also very happy to say that we really like almost every project we're involved in. In this industry it is not always easy to work on jobs you truly believe in, so I'm proud of that too.'
