STV North news anchor, Kirstin Gove has today announced that she is to move to the integrated media and communications agency, AVC Media Enterprises. Kirstin will join the PR team as PR Manager in January 2010.
Kirstin will bring extensive journalistic and presenting experience to the team, honed over almost 15 years with STV. Adding considerable expertise, contacts and practical techniques, she will also strengthen AVC’s service offering as the principle trainer for media and crisis response.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to put my experience to use within a thriving full service communications agency,” said Kirstin. “By applying knowledge gained over my time at STV I am looking to add another dimension to the PR team, strengthening media relations and collaborating with a journalistic insight.
“I have been supporting AVC with media response training for the past year, so I jumped at the opportunity to join the agency on a permanent basis, taking my career in an exciting new direction within the field of PR. I am very much looking forward to becoming a part of the team going forward.”
As a well-known and respected figure of the media in the North-east, Kirstin has already established herself as a good fit with AVC as an expert in her field.
“We are delighted to welcome Kirstin onboard, in what has been a year of change for the PR team,” said Simone Barnett, Director of AVC Creative. “We now have an ambitious and enthusiastic team in place, and Kirstin is well positioned to join us as we look to strengthen this part of the business. Her experience within TV, radio and journalism will be invaluable to AVC and we look forward to what opportunities she will bring as we head into a new year.”
