Persimmon Instructs Shepherd to Sell Mixed Use Development Site in Garthamlock

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has been instructed by Persimmon Homes to sell development land for retail/leisure use on its behalf at its current base in Garthamlock, where it is in the process of building a new estate. To date 350 homes have been built with a further 450 planned in the estate.

The site is located in very close proximity to the Fort Shopping Centre as well as the M8 motorway providing excellent transport links. The Fort is one of Scotland’s best performing out of town shopping centres and currently has plans to extend in the near future.

The site in question currently has outline planning permission for three parts: a retail development comprises of four or five units ranging from 185sq m to 214 sq m; a supermarket of 800sq m and a pub/leisure site.

Jamie Savage, surveyor at Shepherd, said, “Our client will now consider offers for the site as a whole. The site may also be suitable for alternative uses such as nursing homes subject to planning.”

Building around 10,000 new homes a year in more than 400 locations nationwide, Persimmon is one of the UK's leading Plc house builders.
