The re-launch of www.aktive8.com by leading eCommerce and online marketing agency Radiator, has resulted in an immediate rise in sales for the outdoor gear and camping specialist website.

Commissioned to redesign and re-launch Livingston-based Aktive8’s website and integrate it with sister sites from the same group, Radiator’s eCommerce management system, named Tabasco, is already reaping significant rewards for the online retailer by offering standard functionality with unlimited scope for customisation.

Stephen Hunter, co-founder of Radiator, who provide fully integrated solutions from website concept to sales generation, said, “Our brief from Aktive8 was to make the website visually more attractive and easier to use whilst improving existing traffic, conversion and sales levels.

“We designed and built a web shop that is in keeping with the established Aktive8 brand and which could be seamlessly integrated into their existing back office system.”

And the impact has been immediate.

Iain Sked, managing director of Aktive8, said, “Within a week of our new site going live, our overall conversion rate for sales has trebled and our shopping cart abandonment rate has been reduced by some 32%.

“Furthermore, the new site is already greatly increasing the average basket value as visitors now have the confidence to make multiple product purchases. We’re confident that Radiator’s redesign of our ecommerce site and ongoing marketing expertise will help us realise our target of 100,000 visits a month this year and double our sales.”

With part of that growth targeted to come from overseas, Radiator has built in a multi-currency option on the site as well as a sophisticated shipping quotation system.

A full service design, development and internet marketing consultancy, Radiator’s eCommerce facility is designed to convert visitors to customers. Its customer base spans a broad spectrum of public and private sector organisations, all of which call upon its expert input to generate online sales.

A member of ScotlandIS, the trade body for the information and communications technologies (ICT) industry, Radiator works closely with clients to increase their brand awareness, leads and repeat sales online.
