Cookie, the community-based eatery, deli and shop in Glasgow’s southside, is inviting diners to be part of the Super Soup lunch and help bowl over poverty tomorrow (Friday 26th March).
Co-owner Domenico Del Priore, who is passionate about using local and seasonal Scottish produce, said, “Whatever you’re having for lunch tomorrow, make sure it’s soup! Almost half the world’s population live on less than US$2 a day and at Cookie we’ll be serving soup and donating the profits to Christian Aid in their work to fight global poverty and injustice.
“It’s a day when people all across Britain will be putting their sandwiches aside and getting together to cook a cock-a-leekie, sip Scotch broth, or guzzle gazpacho. So call a friend and come over to Cookie for a bowl or two!”
