Cookie Launches Rent-A-Chef Service

Cookie, the much-talked about eatery, deli and shop in Glasgow’s southside, has embarked on the next phase of its ongoing programme to break down the barriers between food production, distribution, preparation and consumption by launching an innovative ‘Rent-A-Chef’ service.

The new initiative allows customers to hire one of Cookie’s highly experienced chefs for private events. Cookie’s cooks will come to your home and attend to all your culinary needs – whether your event is a romantic tete-a-tete for two to mark a special occasion, a family celebration or an informal party for friends.

And not only will they cook for you in your own home, they will also cook with you, providing personal cookery training to show you how to get the best rest culinary results from your own utensils in your own kitchen.

Cookie co-owner, Domenico Del Priore, said, “Large or small, you can hire one of our talented chefs for your own special event. It’s not as expensive as you might think and, if you want, you can replicate exactly the same food that you’ve enjoyed at Cookie – or let us create a culinary feast to match your requirements.

“If you want a tray of antipasti and some delicious fresh breads, then we can do that. For an informal drinks party, you might just be looking for some canapés and nibbles, or if it’s a more formal, sit-down occasion, then you can consider dishes such as lasagne, pasta or risotto. Talk to us and let our chefs help you create the perfect food for your perfect occasion!”

Passionate about supporting – and using – local and Scottish produce where possible; Cookie will also incorporate the freshest, seasonal ingredients into your tailor-made menu.
