Cookie, the award-winning eatery in Glasgow’s southside, has secured the outside catering contract for the Doune the Rabbit Hole Music Festival this summer in Stirlingshire.
With up to 1000 music-lovers expected to attend the self-styled ‘two day tea party’, Cookie will be offering a range of stands providing everything from vegetarian and vegan dishes, pizza and pastas, a fruit juice counter, soup kitchen and a BBQ stall offering a range of butcher-made Cookie burgers, hotdogs and sausages.
Cookie will also be offering a range of cookery demonstrations, with an emphasis on participation and learning about food origins and food-related health issues.
And a special Doune the Rabbit Hole Festival Cookie Charity Raffle with proceeds going to SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) will offer several dining opportunties for lucky winners.
Cookie co-owner, Domenico del Priore, said, “Billing itself as a psyche/folk/funk/ fun tea party, Doune the Rabbit Hole sounds like just the kind of party that Cookie loves – so when the opportunity arose to participate, we knew that this was simply too good a chance to miss!
“Having come fresh from catering the Southside Festival in Glasgow, we’re rapidly developing a deserved reputation and expertise is catering for large festival events and are looking forward not only to feeding hungry festival-goers, but to catching some of the live acts ourselves at Doune the Rabbit Hole.”
The vast line-up at the event includes such esoteric acts as: Francois and The Atlas Mountains; The Higher State; Paul Messis; The One Ensemble; The Wise Guys Sunken, Drunken, and the Broken Boat alongside poetry, dancing, philosophy, stories, theatre, comedy, dressing up boxes, games, face-painting, local ale and cider and organic food.
Doune the Rabbit Hole, which begins on Friday 30th July at 12pm and runs till 1st August, is situated in the countryside surrounding Doune Castle, Stirlingshire.
