Benromach Gets 2010 Three Tens Series on Track

Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky continues headline sponsorship of The Three Tens endurance mountain bike series in 2010

Fort William based No Fuss Events are delighted to announce the continuing sponsorship, for the third consecutive year, of The Three Tens series by Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The three cross country mountain bike endurance events that have become popular fixtures on Britain's mountain biking calendar can continue to grow and develop with the support of Benromach as headline sponsor.

The first of the Benromach Three Tens Series events, 10 Under the Ben, the flagship of the series, will be held in Fort William – the UK's premier mountain bike destination – on Saturday 15 May. More than 1900 riders from all over the UK and the rest of the world have experienced the awesome course on some fantastic trails within Forestry Commission Scotland's Leanachan Forest since the event began five years ago. 10 at Kirroughtree, nominated for Best Mountain Bike Event at the 2009 Singletrack Awards, will take place in Galloway Forest Park on Saturday 10 July and 10 More in Moray will round off the series in The Ordequish Woods, Fochabers, on the Saturday 21 August.

The Benromach Three Tens Series has captured the imagination of two-wheeled outdoor enthusiasts who have a responsible attitude to really good fun, as well as a balanced and environmentally sensitive lifestyle.

The Benromach Three Tens Series of open mountain bike events involve individuals and teams of two, three and four, cycling a ten-mile circuit of exquisite trails at each venue over a ten hour time period. As well as commitment to the Three Tens Series, Benromach will provide spot prizes and the opportunity for participants to sample the distillery's newest product, Benromach 10 Years Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Commenting on the sponsorship announcement, David Urquhart, Joint Managing Director of Gordon & MacPhail, owners of Benromach Distillery, said: 'It's a pleasure to have Benromach associated with the Three Tens Series for another year. We always receive a warm reception from the organisers and participants at these fantastic mountain biking events. We are growing along with the Three Tens Series and the sponsorship now represents an excellent opportunity to showcase our brand – especially our new Benromach 10 Years Old single malt – to a receptive audience. In addition, once again, Gordon & MacPhail staff will be getting involved directly by entering a team in one or more of the events.”

Located on the outskirts of the ancient market town of Forres in Speyside is Scotland's best kept secret. From the small and almost lost Benromach distillery emerged a single malt with distinctive qualities reflecting its exclusive hand made credentials as well as encapsulating the self-reliance, sophistication and modern values of Scotland today.

Frazer Coupland of No Fuss Events, organisers of the Benromach Three Tens Series, said “The synergies between Benromach and No Fuss like any fine malt just get better with age, lets face it Benromach is to be enjoyed whilst relaxing and reflecting after a great day. At No fuss we have a recipe of good craic , great trails and a laid back atmosphere, what better way to have a great day.”
