The Glasshouse off the Mile is offering students and their families a sparkling way to celebrate graduation day.
The stunning restaurant, the latest venue for acclaimed Scottish chef Steven Adair, offers diners contemporary yet affordable Scottish cuisine using the very best locally sourced ingredients.
Its superb location – just off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile in St Giles Street – means it is minutes away from the main central venues that will host the graduation ceremonies for Edinburgh students.
A special three course menu has been put together for both lunch and dinner – each offering a complimentary glass of prosecco.
At lunch, for instance, diners can enjoy duck liver parfait with tomato chutney, warm toast and rocket salad, followed by roast salmon fillet of salmon with an herb risotto and red pepper tapenade.
Desserts range from homemade ice cream, to chocolate torte and cheese, which can be topped off with coffee or tea with petite fours.
If dinner is more convenient for graduation parties, then an evening menu is also available that includes a selection of canapés and prosecco upon arrival.
Starter courses include hearty Scottish cullen skink and for the main course there is seared seabass, poached Scottish chicken breast, and summer risotto.
The restaurant trades as a separate business on the ground floor of Fraser Suites Edinburgh – one of the capital’s most popular boutique hotels.
Steven ran the award-winning The Glasshouse at Eskmills in Musselburgh for three years until moving on to his Edinburgh restaurant.
