The production team behind TV’s popular Hairy Bikers will be at Cookie, the award-winning eatery in Glasgow’s southside, tomorrow evening (Wednesday 11th August) on the look-out for families who cook to feature on their new TV show.
The perennially popular Hairy Bikers are back and on a mission to find Britain’s best cooking family in a brand new BBC Two daytime studio show called The Hairy Bikers’ Family Cook-off.
Si King and Dave Myers will be mixing cooking, celebrity chat and their unique brand of entertainment in the 30 part series which will transmit weekdays from late autumn. Each episode will feature foodie challenges for two teams of families fighting for the title of Britain's Best Cooking Family.
Cookie co-owner, Domenico Del Priore, said, “We’re delighted to welcome the Hairy Bikers’ production team to Cookie and am certain that we’ll have a number of families who cook to offer them as suitable candidates to feature on their new show.
“The format for the new TV show has similarities with our own monthly Chef Wars event, which pits three volunteer cooks – professionals versus professionals and amateurs versus amateurs – against each other by preparing three mains and three puddings to be judged on the night by Cookie customers.
“So if there’s any families out there with a passion for cooking and fancy a spot on prime-time TV, then come on down to Cookie!”
Families interested in appearing on The Hairy Bikers’ Family Cook-off should head to Cookie on Wednesday 11th August after 6.30pm. Cookie is based at 72 Nithsdale Road, Pollokshields, Glasgow. For further information about Cookie log on to www.cookiescotland.com or call 0141 423 1411.
