A husband and wife duo has achieved the ultimate success four years after setting up in business. Aberdeen, bespoke jeweller, Lava Jewellery, established by Jacqui and Duncan Grant, has been short-listed in the esteemed wedding industry Scottish VOWS awards (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier).
The VOWS awards, which has been running for six years, are nominated and voted for by recently wedded couples who have received outstanding service; over 11,000 nominations were received across 32 categories for this years awards. Lava Jewellery is one of four short-listed suppliers in the jeweller category, whilst being one of only two other jewellers, located north of Perth, whom have ever been short-listed for the awards.
“This is a phenomenal achievement for us,” commented Jacqui, “We were completely overwhelmed to receive news we had been short-listed.”
“We have only been working in the business full-time for the last 18 months. To be recognised and nominated by customers who have been delighted by our service is extremely rewarding, as they’re the ones who really matter,” added Duncan. “Our aim was to build our business on reputation and recommendation by providing an outstanding product and service, and that’s what we’ve achieved.”
Winners will be announced at the prestigious awards ceremony at The Hilton Glasgow Hotel on Monday 8th November.
Based in Peterculter, Aberdeen, Jacqui and Grant are both experienced jewellers, each with over 15 years experience in design and creation of individual, handmade jewellery. Specialising in collections and wedding jewellery including rings, kilt pins, cufflinks and keepsakes Lava has been commissioned by customers around the world from the UK to New Zealand.
Examples of their individual wedding jewellery can be seen at the elite wedding show on Sunday 7th November at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen.
