Tickets for premium seats in Musselburgh Racecourse’s grandstand restaurant at next year’s Ladies Day sold out within five minutes of going on sale.
Staff at the East Lothian course were staggered at the level of interest in a race day which is still eight months away.
Sales for private suites in the Queen’s Stand and marquees are also going well and a Champers and Hampers picnic package has been extended because of demand.
Musselburgh Ladies Day, held on Saturday 6 June, has developed in to one of Scotland’s most glamorous sporting events and has had to put up the “sold out” signs in the last two years.
Musselburgh Racecourse commercial manager, Sarah Montgomery, said: “We know how popular Ladies Day has become but it is still pretty amazing that the Epperston Restaurant was fully booked within minutes of ticket sales going live.
“Other corporate packages and premium tickets are also doing very well and we would urge people to plan ahead if they want to fully enjoy all the glamour and glitz that embodies Ladies Day at Musselburgh.”
