To promote the BBC’s major multimedia project ‘Scotland’s History’, family has produced a series of posters, press ads, online banners and radio commercials with the actor Brian Cox as the voiceover.
Most photography shoots tend to go without so much as a hiccup; but for this particular one it was not exactly a breeze.
One of the shots involved the Callanish stones on the Isle of Lewis. After getting up at 5.30am for the right light, Kevin Bird, Creative Director from family, and photographer Mark Seager, got more than they expected. “We thought it was a bit windy and the clouds were travelling at a bit of a pace,” said Kevin. “It wasn’t until the next day that we discovered we had narrowly missed a tornado in Stornoway. Still, we got some great shots, not to mention some very rosy cheeks”.
