A Perth based PR & marketing agency, Volpa, has been shortlisted in no less than two categories at this year’s Scottish Event Awards for their work with two Highland Perthshire events The Enchanted Forest and Macmillan Cancer Support Etape Caledonia.
Volpa has beaten off stiff competition to reach the top three in Best Marketing Strategy for their work with The Enchanted Forest, which has seen numbers swell in recent years to over 20,000 attendees, and Best PR Strategy for their work with Macmillan Cancer Support Etape Caledonia, which hit the headlines across the UK and Europe two years ago following an incident at the 2009 event.
The judges may have already decided their fate, however Volpa will need to wait until the awards ceremony due to be held in September to find out if they’ve snatched the title from other finalists which include Taste of Edinburgh, TicketSOUP.com, Active Nation Scottish Cup and Big Man Walking.
Volpa currently holds the title for Best Marketing Strategy which they won for their work with The Enchanted Forest at the 2009 award ceremony.
Tricia Fox, founder of Volpa commented, “We’re very proud to be shortlisted for these awards again this year. We’re up against some major events in Scotland but we believe that the work we’ve been doing to put Highland Perthshire on the map is valuable and we’re delighted to be flying the flag for these world class events at this ceremony this year. I can only keep my fingers crossed that we can do as well as last year and bring home some trophies!”
