Free Golf with Dinosaurs Contest for Children

A picture of a dinosaur will unlock the door to free entry at a tourist attraction aimed at children and families that’s due to open in Glasgow this month.

World of Golf Glasgow, Scotland’s premier golf centre situated on Great Western Road, wants children to send in a drawing of their favourite, prehistoric creature – and each entrant will receive a FREE Family Pass to Jurassic Parrr, the company’s £500,000, 18-hole adventure golf course now in the final stages of completion.

“We are looking for children to compete in our special fun Facebook competition and win tickets to explore ‘Jurassic Parrr,’” said World of Golf Glasgow’s general manager, Yvonne Park.

“We will pick winners who will then have a chance to make a video diary account of their experience.

“We have been in business in Glasgow for 10 years so the opening of Jurassic Parrr and this children’s competition are helping us celebrate.”

To enter, children are invited to draw a picture of their favourite dinosaur or an adventure golf-related picture, or even what they expect “Jurassic Parrr” to look like.

Help is a hand at – parents, aunties, uncles, teachers of children taking part are invited to “like” the page for exclusive updates and special opening offers.

Pictures should be e-mailed to or posted in to “Jurassic Parrr” Competition, World of Golf, 2700 Great Western  Road, Glasgow, G81 2XT.

The child’s name, age, primary group, school and contact number for a parent/guardian must be included.

All these details and completed entries must be in by 6 pm on Sunday, August 14. Competition winners will be announced on Facebook on Sunday, August, 21.

Terms and conditions:

By entering this competition parents give consent for the pictures to be shown and the children to take part in being filmed. They also agree for this footage to be used by the world of Golf’s “Jurassic Parrr”.  This will include publishing and use online.

Entry is open to children under 13 years old.

Submissions received outside of the timeframe will not be considered, so please do not wait until the last minute to e-mail your entry.

Entrants can only enter individually. Only one entry per person is permitted. If more than one entry is submitted, only the entrant's first submission will be considered.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party.

Competition winners will be announced on Sunday 21st August.
