Downhole Products is on schedule to open its first base in Australia next month. The 100 square metre office is in the commercial district of Perth and will be staffed by country manager David Field, reporting to DHP Asia.
“We’ve always had agents or distributors in Australia but serious interest has started to develop for our products over the past two to three years and we are expecting that the next five years will be exceptionally good for us there, with the increasing Australasian market” said Ian Kirk, DHP MD who will attend the office opening in October.
The Perth opening will come just weeks before the opening of another Downhole venture, a production factory at Xian in China, covering more than 11,500 square metres and ten times the size of Downhole’s HQ at Portlethen. ‘Downhole’s product line has taken the local factory employees from 20 to its current level of 100 & the new factory will at least double this,’ said Mr Kirk.
