Chief Executive of Victim Support Scotland since 2001, commenting on award of OBE for services to disadvantaged people in Queen’s Birthday Honours List:

That has been made possible by the fantastic commitment of our staff and volunteers and the support we all give one another.”

David was appointed President of Victim Support Europe in May 2010 after serving three years as its Vice President. He has been Chief Executive of Victim Support Scotland since 2001. David has a 26-year history of working in the victims’ field and is a member of the World Society for Victimology and of the European Forum for Restorative Justice. David is participating in the development of the Unites States Office for Victims of Crime Strategy for the next 10 years. He is also involved in championing a new EU Directive for Victims of Crime.
