THE Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns is all set to help parents keep their kids occupied this October school week with a series of free craft workshops running from 12 noon till 4pm from Monday 15th till Friday 19th October.
Michelle McCabe, Centre Manager at The Avenue, said: “Every kid loves the October school week, but it can create a headache for hectic parents trying to juggle the demands of running the household with keeping the kids entertained.
“Our free craft workshops offer hard-pressed parents a chance to bring their children with them to the mall where they can keep a close eye on them as they paint and decorate a range of artefacts before lending a helping hand with the family shopping.
“Whether it’s painting multi-colour kaleidoscopes, or bats, balls, frisbees, yo-yos and gliders – our free craft workshops are sure to make shopping an altogether more colourful experience.”
The Avenue Shopping Centre, managed by commercial property consultancy BTWShiells, offers shoppers an alternative to sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
