AN ABERDEEN-based reprographics firm, has invested £100,000 in new premises in the Central Belt to accommodate the continued growth of the business.
North East Reprographics (NER), headquartered at Marywell, on the outskirts of Aberdeen, which underwent a strategic merge last year with industry leader Xeretec, has recently opened new office premises in Bilston Glen, Edinburgh.
The new site, which will be branded under the Xeretec group’s name as part of the first development as a merged company, includes office space and showroom for up to eight employees. The office is currently headed up by area sales manager, Raymond Stewart and the company is looking to add a sales team of up to four members, which will increase throughout the year as part of the businesses growth strategy.
Last year, the firm merged with Xeretec, a leading integrator of digital print hardware, software, solutions and services in the UK and Ireland, to become one of the largest managed print service providers in the UK, and a top five Xerox reseller in Europe.
Managing director for NER, John Sheran said: “As we already have some clients in the area, the next step to open new premises was always on the cards. We are currently looking to recruit up to four sales people and that will increase as demand for business grows. Since the merger last summer, NER have experienced several new contract wins and have seen great opportunities in the marketplace. Launching the Edinburgh base is the first step in our overall growth strategy for the business and hope to expand further into the Glasgow area in the future.”
The launch of the Edinburgh base will further strengthen the firm’s footprint throughout Scotland and the UK, allowing them to become one of the largest Xerox resellers in Europe. The group have future plans to open premises in Glasgow in the next couple months.
The firm, launched in 1995 supplies Xerox machines and services including printers and copiers throughout the UK and Europe and caters for hundreds of local businesses and global organisations. NER has strong links with all business sectors in Scotland and the North-east, including numerous oil and gas organisations, with a reputation for service excellence, bolstered by an established help desk facility in Aberdeen.
