Get active and Do It Yourself with our June press trips
What to do and where to go for an action-packed holiday feature
France unveils a kaleidoscope of experiences with our June press trips. Pick your own herbs and fruit, learn to cook, explore a new museum or try glacier skiing!
7 – 10 June – Haute Loire Gastronomy in Auvergne
Meet the producers, pick your own, learn about wild herbs and indulge in Michelin Star cooking. Then, work it all off with a cycle ride, adventure course, or a more leisurely walk round the botanical gardens.
14 – 17 June – Regional Cultural Flavours in Nord-Pas de Calais
Find out more about the region’s own capital of culture – Dunkirk – and then head to celebrated Lens and its Louvre Museum Annex. Explore local culture with a shopping trip to buy local produce – cheese, beer, chocolate. Round up the trip by learning about the region’s historic past at the Wellington Quarry Memorial Museum.
21 -24 June - Try a DIY Holiday in Aquitaine
Visit some of France’s most beautiful villages and their medieval streets and architecture. Learn how to garden water lilies, how to cook local dishes and how to taste wine. Get a look at some of the charming and unusual accommodation available along the way.
27 – 30 June – Holiday with the family in Rhone-Alpes
Start your action-packed trip with an adventure course and zip-wire above the mountain city of Grenoble, then cycle through its old town. Try your hand at rafting in the beautiful mountain village of Venosc, and then summer sledging, go-karting or other mountain activities. To top it all off, try glacier skiing, an ice grotto visit, or a skiing or hiking tour. Definitely for the active!
