Beyond the famous wine Chateaux, experience a part of south west France between Perigord and Gascony: welcome to the Lot & Garonne on a 4-day press trip
21 – 24 June 2013
Lot-et-Garonne is a land full of contrasts: realistic yet imaginative, affluent yet friendly, cultured yet forward-thinking. The best of the south-west in just one region!
Boasting rolling green countryside, numerous types of crops, friendly locals and a wealth of activities and festivals to savour, this thriving region stands out due to its diversity, and its insistence on quality.
A large part of France’s organic produce is grown in the region, and Lot-et-Garonne cultivates the nation’s widest variety of fruit and vegetables. Its farms are a veritable playground for young and old alike.
Lot-et-Garonne has five AOC labelled wines. Winegrowers have opened their doors to tourists for many years, with the aim of giving visitors a lasting souvenir of their holiday, and an insight into their age-old winemaking skills.
