Scottish PR agency, Beattie Media, is reported to be on a shortlist of three to win easyJet’s first ‘external consumer PR support’ contract.
Says PR Week, Beattie is up against Paratus Communications and Trimedia to win the UK-wide account.
Earlier this year, fellow Scottish PR agency, Profile Plus, was taken on a short-term basis to increase public awareness of the airline’s Scottish service. Continues PR Week, its 12-month contract is not being renewed.
Said Robyn Glynne-Percy, managing director of Profile Plus: “We have an excellent working relationship with easyJet and they were extremely pleased with the work that we were doing for them in Scotland. If it hadn’t been for their requirement to centralise their UK consumer PR, we would still be working with easyJet.”
Continued easyJet’s commercial manager Carly Brear: “I have only good things to say about Profile Plus. I would very much recommend the agency – they are very creative, responsive and produced great results. I am disappointed that we cannot continue to use them at this time but if our situation should change then I would definitely take them onboard again.”
Meanwhile, it’s a new job for a former senior account manager with another of Scotland’s top PR agencies.
After eight years at The BIG Partnership, Mike McPartlin takes up the post of PR manager with Lloyds TSB Asset Finance, responsible for the profile of the Lloyds’ personal finance brand, Black Horse.
He will be based in Edinburgh.
