A former deputy sports editor at Metro Scotland newspaper is one of three staff appointments at a major Scottish PR consultancy.
Nic White was at Metro Scotland until three years ago, whereupon he moved into PR, joining the BIG partnership and then Weber Shandwick. He has now been taken on as an account director at 3×1, joining fellow new-starts, Ashley Reid (account executive) and Laura Adamson (account manager in Edinburgh). Reid has spent the last three years with PR outfit Smarts in Glasgow.
Since making the switch to PR, White has in particular developed an expertise in renewable energy. He is to work with a number of 3×1’s top clients including Barclays Wealth, UK law firm, McGrigors and seafood authority, Seafish.
His career in journalism began 11 years ago, at legal trade magazine, Legal Business, based in London. He joined Metro seven years ago, at the newspaper’s Manchester office.
