The Scottish weekly newspaper, the Northern Scot, remains the biggest-selling newspaper among the titles published by the Inverness-based Scottish Provincial Press group.
Says the Audit Bureau of Circulation – in its twice-yearly sales review of UK regional newspapers – the title sold an average of 17,296 copies at the time of the auditing: December last year.
But compared to the average sale twelve months previously, December's figure was down five per cent (from 18,207). Unlike many of the ABC figures, there was no June 2009 figure to compare with.
The ABC revealed its figures at the end of last week.
