Hunt Resumes for Scotsman's Haggis

An annual online game run by The Scotsman newspaper and involving 'hunting for a haggis' resumes today, St. Andrew's Day.

The 'hunt' which lasts until Burns' Night, January 25 – last year attracted 4.5 million impressions from 72 countries. The game has been operating for ten years. Visitors are challenged to spot a haggis that might wander in front of any one of ten webcams located at, among others, Edinburgh Castle and New York's Times Square.

This year, the hunt is being sponsored by Mackie’s ‘Haggis’ Potato Crisps. There is a webcam in the crisp factory.

Last year, there were 420,000 recorded 'haggis sightings'.

Various prizes are up for grabs.
