Actress, Penelope Keith, has been thwarted yet again in her attempts to open a cafe in a Highland village, as reported extensively in yesterday’s press. But Keith – who played Margot Leadbetter in the popular 1970s sitcom, The Good Life – might still appeal.
But, for the moment at least, it was – according to the headline on page 13 of yesterday’s Scottish Daily Mail – a case of ‘No Go, Margo’, the absent ‘t’ perhaps in sympathy with what the villagers might find themselves missing out on.
P.S. The Scotsman’s page three coverage of the tale included a large montage of Keith pictured against the intended location of the cafe, flanked by a building bearing a very obvious sign promoting the….er, Daily Record.
