Scots Oscar Winner Subject of Retrospective

The work of one of Scotland’s most successful film animators is the subject of a retrospective in Glasgow next month.

Work by Oscar winner, Norman McLaren, is being featured at the Glasgow short film showcase, Magic Lantern.

Born in Stirling in 1914, McLaren won his Academy Award in 1953. He died in 1987.

The retrospective is taking place a week on Wednesday, the 9th of next month, at the CCA, in Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street. For ticket details, telephone 0141 352 4900.
