Last year, it was second place; this year, a creditable fourth. At last night’s annual quiz, hosted by the Scottish branch of the Royal Television Society, a team representing allmediascotland finished behind independent production companies Synchronicity Films, Fine Stripe and the Comedy Unit – not bad, given the technicality of some of the questions. Frame speed, eh?
In the end, the winner was Synchronicity, after each of the top three had to make a 60-second pitch to the 150-strong audience gathered in the hall of Saint Andrew’s in the Square, in Glasgow, on behalf of a programme idea – in Synchronicity’s case, ‘Glen Michael’s Cartoon Cavalcade’.
Meanwhile, two teams representing IWC finished in the bottom three, just ahead of a team from BBC 2.
