A documentary made by BBC Scotland has taken the international prize at an awards ceremony celebrating the best in TV from the regions of Europe.
‘Black Watch: a Soldier’s Story’ went behind the scenes of an acclaimed play about solders serving in Iraq, Black Watch.
Directed and produced by Iain Scollay, the 60-minute film emerged victorious at the Prix Circom Regional Programme Awards, regarded as the most prestigious in Europe for regional production and broadcasting and which, this year, attracted 157 entries from 23 different European countries.
Circom Regional is an organisation of almost 300 public service broadcasting stations in the regions of Europe and across 38 states.
