Perthshire Big Tree Country, organisers of The Enchanted Forest, have announced that ticket sales reached an all time high of just under 20,000 tickets sold for this year’s event, demonstrating a 3.2% increase on last year’s record breaking ticket sales.
This year organisers had to release additional mid week capacity twice to satisfy demand for the event which also experienced an unprecedented 107% increase in family ticket sales.
Stephen Bolland, chair of the steering group for the Enchanted Forest 2009 commented, “We are absolutely delighted with this year’s tickets sales. Given the economic climate we actually planned for ticket sales to be less this year so to top 2008’s record breaking figures is a real boost to the event. Moreover we sold more than double the number of family ticket sales for this year’s event which is fantastic news.”
The running of the 2010 event is due to be handed over to the Pitlochry Area Community Interest Company later this month. The boost in tickets sales is evidence that the event is as popular with the public as ever.
