Legal firm McGrigors is hosting a Risk Management seminar in Aberdeen with a special focus on UK anti-corruption legislation.
With the volume of anti-corruption enforcement action in the UK set to grow further it is critical companies understand corruption laws and implement anti-corruption compliance procedures.
The seminar will cover bribery under current and proposed Scottish and English law, “facilitation” payments, corporate hospitality and gifts, political contributions and charitable donations, detection, high risk areas and compliance basics, internal investigation and managing voluntary disclosures.
The seminar, at the Marcliffe at Pitfodels on Thursday November 19, will be led by McGrigors partner Tom Stocker, who is an expert in business crime, regulatory investigations and compliance and Bob Ruddiman, McGrigors' Head of Energy. Further workshop-based courses will be run in the New Year.
