Aberdeen-based Northern Offshore UK Ltd has been awarded a contract with Caspian Drilling Company Limited (CDC) for the provision of support services for drilling operations in the Caspian Sea, worth an estimated contract value of over £12.75million.
Due to run until July 2011, the two year contract consists of fees for technical and operational support in management of the Dada Gorgud semisubmersible drilling rig in operations that are set to take place in acreage operated by BP.
Northern Offshore’s technical and operational support services will be provided predominantly by its Baku based personnel, with additional assistance from the operations team based in Aberdeen.
