ATOUT FRANCE and the French Film Festival in Glasgow

Scots journalists will get the chance to discover one of the most popular tourist regions of France, and enjoy a fantastic French film, at a special event in Glasgow on Thursday night.

The French government’s tourism development agency, ATOUT FRANCE, Rhône-Alpes Tourisme and Rhône-Alpes Cinema are joining forces to host a screening with a difference at Glasgow Film Theatre.

Rhône-Alpes Tourisme will give a short presentation about the region, and journalists will get the chance to sample food and wine from the area.

Guests will then take their seats in the cinema for a screening of “Le crime est notre affaire” (Crime is our business) – a comedy thriller adapted from an Agatha Christie novel, starring André Dussollier and Catherine Frot.

A spokeswoman for Rhône-Alpes Tourisme said: “Scottish journalists will have the opportunity to discover a unique region which gave birth to cinema and taste some of the local specialities.”

The event will start at Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, at 6pm. The number of places is limited and a RSVP is required to attend the event (see contact details below).
