Cookie, the eatery, deli and shop in Glasgow’s southside, is launching the first in a series of cook-off competitions this Sunday 21 March at 6pm when three amateur chefs will serve up their best dishes to be judged by Cookie customers on the night!
The evening will see amateur cooking enthusiasts pitting their skills against each other at Cookie – under the watchful eye of Cookie’s resident professional chef overseeing the competition with each ‘chef’ preparing one of the three courses – starter, main and dessert – to be marked out of ten by diners at the end of the meal.
Cookie co-owner, Domenico del Priore, said, “Our Cook-off Competitions are all about fun, interaction and breaking down the barriers between the preparation and consumption of food. And they’re already proving popular with budding chefs quick to sign up to next month’s event!”
The Cookie Cook-off Competition will feature a set three course menu with a vegetarian option for £17 with a special promotional aperitif from Pincer vodka on arrival.
The Competition is the latest part of Cookie’s ongoing programme to break down the barriers between food production, distribution, preparation and consumption from its base at 72 Nithsdale Road, Pollokshields, Glasgow.
