PR-led communications specialist Smarts has been appointed by NHS Education for Scotland to promote involvement and engagement with its Using Information Improving Healthcare website -www.usinginfo.org – a resource for clinicians which features digests and stories from across the NHS in Scotland and also from international partners.
Smarts’ brief combines the collection and creation of content for the website to encourage greater awareness of the importance of using information and drive knowledge-sharing of service improvements amongst clinicians working for the NHS and the wider international health community.
The Using Information website is a partnership between NHS Education Knowledge Services Group (KSG) and Scottish Government eHealth Directorate. It supports NHS Scotland’s vision for eHealth to ‘exploit the power of electronic information to help ensure that patients get the right care, involving the right clinicians, at the right time, to deliver the right outcome’ and provides a platform to drive national and international best practice.
Susie Davidson, Director, Smarts said: “The Using Information website is a pivotal platform for clinicians to share their experiences and relevant information with colleagues and peers from across the NHS and is important to the wider eHealth strategy. Working with NHS Education for Scotland and the Scottish Government to develop the site further and ensure its content grows in the long term is a great opportunity for us to showcase the diversity of our skills.”
