Alienation Digital, one of Scotland’s leading web design companies, has helped an Aberdeen charity, launched in 1870 with Queen Victoria as its patron, bring its online presence bang up to date, complete with Twitter capability.
VSA started life as the Aberdeen Association for Improving the Condition of the Poor and has evolved into the city’s major social care charity helping thousands of individuals and families each year.
David McCready, VSA’s Administration and ICT Manager said: “We wanted to update our website to help us support even more people by making our resources and services easier to access online.
“Alienation Digital did a great job on the design front, while features such as the online scrapbook, events calendar, and Twitter will make the site more interactive and effective.”
VSA run Adult and Community Services, Children and Family Services and Carers Services. One of the charity’s services, Easter Anguston Farm, provides places for trainees with learning difficulties to gain valuable experience on a working farm, as well as having a number of visitor attractions and shopping options.
Neil Barr, Alienation Digital’s MD said: “We were delighted to be able to design and build a website that captures the quality of the services VSA provides and makes them more accessible to the thousands of people they support.”
