Independent fashion store, Xile Clothing, has launched its first ever Glasgow branch in St. Enoch Centre following the huge success of the company’s Argyle Street G-Star franchise.
The new 2,300 square foot flagship outlet is expected to follow in the footsteps of the St. Enoch G-Star store which has traded well above expectations and had higher sales than any other G-Star concept store worldwide over the last two Christmases.
The custom-designed store is part of the second wave of new outlets to open at St. Enoch since the Centre’s redevelopment and will strengthen the variety of clothing retailers on offer which includes brands such as Pulp, Quiz, Henleys and H&M.
Over the past 25 years Xile Clothing has become one of Edinburgh’s leading independent retailers and this first Glasgow outlet will build upon the success of its four multi-brand boutiques in Edinburgh and three G-Star concept stores.
The new store will stock a selection of denim, fashion, sportswear and lifestyle clothing and the list of cutting-edge brands which have been confirmed so far include Diesel, Barbour, Replay, Prps, Luke and Liam Gallagher’s hotly tipped new label Pretty Green.
A spokesman for Emporl Apparel Ltd, said: “Our two Glasgow G-Star stores have seen a fantastic response from the city’s shoppers with massive footfall and record sales. This highlight’s Glasgow’s position as one of the UK’s premier retail destinations and has been a key factor in our decision to launch the first ever West Coast Xile Clothing outlet in St. Enoch Centre.”
Susan Nicol, General Manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “We are delighted to welcome the flagship Glasgow branch of Xile Clothing to St. Enoch and we are sure this popular store will be a huge success with our shoppers.
“The transformation of St. Enoch has introduced a wide range of top brand names and retailers to the Centre and the arrival of Xile is a great addition to our fashion offering.”
