Harassed parents looking for an opportunity for some well-deserved rest and recreation on a family day out this summer need look no further than Paperino’s at 283 Sauchiehall Street.
That’s because the popular pizzeria is launching a Pizza Playtime Summer Sunday Series, running every Sunday throughout August, where six to 12 year olds can learn the art of pizza-making and create their own delicious pizzas with their own choice of toppings whilst their parents are invited to sit back and enjoy their meal in peace perfect peace with a complimentary glass of wine thrown in for good measure.
Mark Billington, managing director of Paperino’s, said, “Every parent of young children knows that keeping them occupied during the long summer holidays can be challenging. Similarly, it can be challenging to ensure that they are eating properly.
“Our Pizza Playtime Summer Sunday Series aims to kill two birds with one stone by offering parents a fun-packed family activity that occupies the kids and gives them a freshly prepared meal too!
“Not only that, our pizza playtime gives kids an introductory lesson in cooking, so it’s educational as well. And given that all kids – whether aged six or 66 – love pizza, they can take their new skills home with them to help out in their own kitchen.”
Paperino’s offers an extensive variety of fresh pizzas, ranging from the classic Margherita, with tomato, mozzarella and fresh basil, to Quattro Stagioni, comprising tomato, mozzarella, capers, anchovies, mushrooms and artichokes and all varieties inbetween.
One of Glasgow’s most popular Italian restaurants, Paperino’s opened in Sauchiehall Street in 1991 and soon became renowned for its traditional Italian cuisine, offering an extensive range of pasta, pizza and meat and fish dishes. The original Paperino’s is now widely acknowledged as a firm favourite with Glasgow’s Italian community.
The Pizza Playtime Summer Sunday Series will run on each Sunday throughout August from 11.30am till 4.30am. To book email firstname.lastname@example.org or call her on 0141 353 3767.
