PAPERINO’S, Glasgow’s favourite Italian restaurant chain, is introducing a special summer Sunday pre-theatre offer for all dishes on its a la carte menu.
Running on Sundays between 12 noon and 7pm, all three Paperino’s, at Sauchiehall Street, Byres Road and St Vincent Street, are offering pre-theatre discounts on its meals between these times on Sundays throughout the summer.
Mark Billington, managing director at Paperino’s, said: “Our summer Sunday offer is especially designed to appeal to families coming into Glasgow for a day out and friends or couples looking to meet up over a delicious Italian meal, perhaps before proceeding to an evening at the theatre, cinema or elsewhere.”
Paperino’s pre-theatre starters menu includes such delicacies as: stuffed mushrooms; minestrone soup; calamari fritti; smoked salmon roulade; Prosciutto di Parma e melone and goats cheese tartlet.
In addition to a comprehensive range of pastas and pizzas, a selection of fresh salads includes: Insalata Mista; Insalata Sicialiana and baby spinach salad with avocado, crispy bacon and parmesan shavings.
Fish dishes, meanwhile, include: Cozze alla Marinara, fresh west-coast mussels with chilli, garlic and tomato; Spaghetti Vongole, spaghetti with clams in a white wine sauce; Zuppa di Pesce, a selection of fish and shellfish in a ‘bouillabaisse’ stew; Gamberoni all’Italiana, succulent king prawns tossed in white wine and fillet of sea bass.
Paperino’s meat selection, meanwhile, includes: Salsiccia Fagioli, a hearty Italian sausage braised with borlotti beans; Pollo Valdostana, chicken layered with creamy mozzarella, parma ham and sage and sirloin steak.
Paperino’s is renowned for its traditional Italian cuisine, making it a firm favourite with Glasgow’s Italian community.
