The newly released specialist Botanist Gin is now arriving in stores in Scotland.
Having caused a stir amongst locals on the island of Islay where it is distilled, sales soon exceeded supply as limited stocks of the new gin are exported to the mainland.
The artisanal gin with an unprecedented 31 botanicals, including 22 native to the island (including juniper) was simmer-disitlled on a unique Lomond still for extra texture, elegance and flavour.
CEO of Bruichladdich, Mark Reynier, says “the quality of this small batch gin has exceeded all our expectations. The unique attributes of the one-and-only Lomond still together with the 21 Islay botanicals has been a revelation.”
“It has been hard to keep up with demand – as soon as we can label it it flies off the shelves.”
Botanist Gin is bottled on Islay at 46% and retails at £25.
