Scotland’s leading PR agency, The BIG Partnership, has been tasked with launching a new Glasgow entertainment venue on behalf of client Novus Leisure Ltd.
BIG secured the account following a competitive, three-way pitch and undertakes the entire marketing strategy for the launch of Mansion House.
The £1million investment in the Glassford Street club, which will sit on the site of the old Tiger Tiger nightclub, will incorporate a pub, cocktail bar, theme bar, state-of-the art karaoke rooms, restaurant, nightclub and comedy lounge for 2,000 guests.
BIG’s brief includes social media, brand design, advertising, media relations, managing the launch event and developing a social media presence for Mansion House.
The consultancy, the largest PR agency outside of London*, also renamed the venue and created the names for the new restaurant, The Glasserie, and the Merchants bar. The new Mansion House venue will open on Thursday, 3rd March with an exclusive VIP launch party, managed by BIG’s events team.
Alex Barr, director of The BIG Partnership, said: “The work to launch Mansion House is an exciting start to 2011 for the BIG team and draws on our extensive experience working in the leisure sector.
“The campaign employs a wide range of skills that BIG offers clients, including traditional aspects such as media relations and design but with the additional benefits of a tailored social media campaign and event management from one team.”
The Novus Leisure account is lead by account director Kelly Welsh.
Laura Friedman, marketing manager for Novus Leisure, commented: “We were aware of BIG’s sterling work and following the pitch, it was clear who the best agency for the job would be.
“Novus is investing £1m into the creation and launch of Mansion House so it is an important project for us as a company. When it came to our marketing and communications strategy, we were looking for an agency which could encompass everything we needed under one roof.”
The launch of Mansion House follows BIG’s work on the re-launch of The Corinthian in Glasgow in September 2010.
The BIG Partnership has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Fife.
