Central St Martin’s graduate, Jamie Bruski Tetsill, named ‘The next one to watch’, by British Vogue has designed a limited edition, bio-degradable bag for ScotsCare, the charity for Scots in London in need, hardship and distress.
Jamie has shown at London Fashion week and has also exhibited in Japan and China. His work has been featured in Vogue, Elle and Zoot and has been nominated for Fashion designer of the year.
A limited run of 500 bags have been produced and go on sale this week through ScotsCare’s website www.scotscare.com and www.notjustalabel.com . Priced at £9.99, the bag features Jamie’s trade mark bold prints and is based on the K in Jamie’s name. The bag is eco-friendly and completely bio degradable using chalk to produce the colour rather than using any harmful chemicals.
Jamie said, “As a Scot based in London myself, I was delighted to be asked to create this bag for ScotsCare. I was able to draw on my textile background to come up with a print that includes my key design style and is based on the K in my name. It’s great to be able to work on an idea that’s creative but that will also raise the profile of ScotsCare and will help less fortunate Scots in London. I’m sure it’ll be a great success so I’d encourage everyone should buy one before they run out. “

ScotsCare’s Chief Executive, Willie Docherty said, “Jamie has done a terrific job and he highlights the talent of the many Scottish fashion designers in London and the impact they have. Being able to tap into this to highlight the plight of less fortunate Scots in London is a great way to get our message across. I hope people wear the bag with pride as they walk around and show of the ScotsCare brand. All of the money we raised from the bag goes directly towards supporting needy Scots in London so I hope everyone gets online and buys one. “
ScotsCare is the charity for 1st and 2nd generation Scots in London in need, hardship or distress.
