Radio Clyde’s Superscoreboard has swooped to make a sensational new signing ahead of the 2010 / 11 season.
Jim Delahunt will be in the hot-seat as host when the show returns in August.
Delahunt, who has been a presenter for nearly 20 years, made his name as sports anchor on STV's Scotland Today programme, before moving to become the main presenter on the long running series, Scotsport, for eight seasons.
After making the switch to satellite broadcaster Setanta Sports in 2006, Jim presented a host of broadcasts including The Full SPL highlights programme and the football discussion show, Press Box.
He was also anchor man for live German and French football on the channel, as well as presenting rugby and boxing.
Delahunt will replace Peter Martin and will be the anchor for Superscoreboard.
“Having always been an avid listener of the show over the years, I'm delighted to be joining Clyde and heading up the Superscoreboard team. It's such an exciting time in football and I know we'll have lots to talk about.
“I'm really looking forward to the new season and working with a fantastic well-established team. It will be great to work on the programme which is going from strength to strength.”
Station Director at Clyde, Tracey McNellan, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to announce that Jim Delahunt is the new host of Superscoreboard. We are excited to have a sports broadcaster of Jim’s calibre on board for the show and are very much looking forward to his contribution over the coming season.”
